Background
CBS101 Progress
We’re 3/5 of the way through CBS101. By this point, we’ve been equipped with a relatively robust understanding of the Blob. These first three lessons answered first three learning outcome questions we set at the very beginning:
Who and What is the Blob? The State-CIA-Pentagon trifecta and the four quadrants of whole-of-society. (Lesson 1)
Why does the Blob exist? To protect corporate business interests and maintain American foreign policy hegemony. (Lesson 2)
How does the Blob operate? Capacity building, staging coups, propaganda, and psychological operations. (Lesson 3)
In the final two lessons, we will answer the last two questions:
Why does it matter to us? (This Lesson)
How can we identify a Blob operation in real time? (Lesson 5)
Lesson 4: How the Blob came home
Motivation
Recall the section in Lesson 1 about the Private Sector Quadrant of whole-of-society. Specifically, this video:
Let’s assume, arguendo, that the Blob is a “necessary evil” to the preservation of the American middle-class way of life. If reading in 2026, you might ask “what American middle-class way of life?” And there’s an element of truth to that, but bear with me here.
But assuming the foreign-facing Blob is necessary to one extent or another, why do we study Critical Blob Studies? The answer, as Mike states in the video, is that the Blob no longer only faces outward.
And by creating the Blob with the fundamental task of conducting plausibly deniable political operations (i.e. lying), we opened Pandora’s box. We created a Rabid Pitbull Rottweiler Orca Whale Dragon Junkyard Dog and told it to only stay in the front yard, but it inevitably made its way inside.
Rule of Law Programs
One of the main ways the Blob affects domestic American life is through their rule of law programs.
As part of its foreign-facing political warfare operations, the Blob funds and orchestrates “rule of law programs” to influence judges and prosecutors around the world. This gives them power over private sector regulations and election adjudications. This is often done through the World Justice Project, which receives funding from the US State Department.
A notable example of this in recent memory was during Brazil’s 2022 election.
But the same rule of law programs have found their way to the homeland. Much of this is conducted through the Tides Center and their Fair and Just Prosecutions project.
Tides Center has received $33 million in federal funding including $27 million from USAID, and also receives funds from Ford Foundation, Open Society Foundation, and Gates Foundation.
Tides themselves fund rule of law, immigration, feminism, and other “social justice” centered programs. This report from LELDF details how the Blob funds local prosecutors in the United States through Tides and the Open Society Foundation that then go on to facilitate anarcho-tyranny in our cities.
As Benz explains in the above video, it’s important to recognize here that the Blob is funding these prosecutors, not just Soros as an individual.
The same goes with the lawfare against Trump, starting all the way back with the impeachments. For example, Norm Eisen, the former US Ambassador to the Czech Republic and a Brookings Institution senior fellow, was one of the main lawyers behind the impeachments of President Trump in his first term. Eisen is a central node in the Blob’s foreign color revolution and rule of law operations. He wrote The Democracy Playbook: Preventing and Reversing Democratic Backsliding. See the section from Lesson 2 about democratic backsliding.
2020
The Blob was heavily involved in the three main events of 2020: COVID-19, BLM, and the election.
COVID-19
The Blob was involved in COVID-19 since the creation of the virus itself through Project DEFUSE, Rocky Mountain Lab, and UNC-Chapel Hill.
Then there was the October of 2019 “tabletop simulation” called Event 201, which was hosted by the World Economic Forum, Johns Hopkins University, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The simulation was about an unknown animal-borne Coronavirus pandemic and how to use it as a pretext for digital censorship. In attendance were China’s CDC director George Fu Gao and Deputy Director of the CIA (and later Director of National Intelligence) Avril Haines.
BLM + Election
We learned about this during the Homework assignment from Lesson 1.

Video:
False Flags
Operation Northwoods
The Blob has a history of staging attacks and blaming their enemies in order to justify public support for their operations, especially in the context of overt military action.
One of the most notable and brazen examples is Operation Northwoods, a now-declassified 1962 proposal approved by the Joint Chiefs of Staff consisting of multiple ways public support for a war against Cuba could be manufactured. Here are some of the recommendations made:
Lob mortar shells from outside of base into base. Some damage to installations.
Sink ship near harbor entrance. Conduct funerals for mock-victims (may be lieu of (10)).”
We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba.
We could blow up a drone (unmanned) vessel anywhere in the Cuban waters.
We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington. The terror campaign could be pointed at Cuban refugees seeking haven in the United States. We could sink a boatload of Cubans enroute to Florida (real or simulated).
It is possible to create an incident which will demonstrate convincingly that a Cuban aircraft has attacked and shot down a chartered civilian airliner enroute from the United States to Jamaica, Guatemala, Panama or Venezuela.
Tear Up Texas
Then we have the notorious case of the FBI being behind the alleged ISIS terrorist attack in Garland, Texas which was used as a pretext for war in Syria. Undercover FBI agents messaged the terrorists to “Tear up Texas” and then had an FBI vehicle follow them to the attack. The FBI didn’t intervene.
Ryan Routh
In the immediate aftermath of the second assassination attempt of President Trump in 2023, Mike Benz reviewed the assassin Ryan Routh’s public social media posts indicating that he served as a subcontractor for the State Department recruiting Islamic militants to fight in Ukraine.
Note that this isn’t the first time the Blob has used Islamic militants to fight against Russia. As we covered previously, National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski visited the Mujahideen to recruit them as plausibly deniable US proxies against the Soviet Union.
Homework: Censorship Industrial Complex
The single biggest way the Blob influences our domestic American lives is through the censorship industrial complex. This specific subset of Critical Blob Studies is exactly what Mike Benz has spent the past decade working to uncover, and it requires its own entire course, let alone lesson.
We will eventually have a Censorship Industrial Complex course available here on BlobStudies.com, but until then, you can start by watching Mike Benz’s podcast appearances and research streams.
In this lesson, you will learn by doing. This homework assignment, rather than testing the knowledge you gained from the lesson, will actually teach you about the Censorship Industrial Complex.
Your assignment is to first watch this speech by Mike Benz about the Censorship Industrial Complex.
Then, read the following three articles from Benz’s Foundation for Freedom Online:
House Judiciary Committee Reveals EU Censorship of Americans
NED Built a Censorship Machine That Targeted Americans. Congress Just Voted to Fund It.
Homework Questions, to be answered in the comments below:
What is the history of the Censorship Industrial Complex?
How does it affect our domestic American lives?
What else, if anything, stands out?
Congratulations on completing Lesson 4 of CBS101. I’ll see you on the internet!

Gold! love you work, bro
The history of the censorship industrial complex reveals it as an industry that really started to energize following the color revolution in Ukraine and then, later, the election of DJ T in 2016. The government decided that elections were “critical infrastructure” and so needed to be controlled, in this case, by managing the elections themselves.
The Censorship Industrial Complex affects our domestic American lives every day because the Blob has turned inward, and is now attacking the people that fund it at home in the USA. If the Blob was solely faced externally, you would not be reading this for me, because I wouldn’t care enough to participate. It’s because the Blob has targeted me and people like me at home using the very money I pay from my job to do so that I’m here. They kicked me off Twitter, just like POTUS, just for questioning their propaganda. Their clamp down created me, got me here.
What stands out is how the Brits are funding censorship to silence us, while we’re funding entities to silence the EU’s people and the entire thing is funded by Congress in bills that reps can’t vote against if they want to keep their jobs, which, of course they do because the point of being a congressman is to eventually make one’s way to the private sector and make a fortune, and one need to put favors in the Favor Bank to facilitate this.
The Blobsters decided that following their loss of control of the media surrounding the counter coup in Ukraine that a free Internet was a threat to them, and in their attempt to reassert their control over the narrative, storylines and information we used to make sense of our lives in our country in our world, they decided they needed to stop the populist revolts across Western republics via censorship. Upstream of the censorship story is NATO, and the military which sees four theaters of war, but, ultimately, now, It’s all about tweets, not tanks, they assert.
